HISTORY: The oh-so-lovable captain commands a boatload of pirates. Making his entrance quickly in the beginning, Youngblood proceeds to steal the Fenton Ghost Shield Generator and later, gym equipments. Unable to connect two and two together, the entire mess leaves Danny suspicious and stumped. Youngblood is later revealed to be in conjunction with Ember, having devised a plan to use hypnotized adults to run his ship (literally) while Ember rounds up the over-thirties to satisfy their lust for an adult-free planet. With his high school peers, Danny managed to hold down Youngblood’s army and eventually finished a one-on-one battle with the sea air-faring brat after several losses with him earlier. Youngblood loses and his ship falls into the depths of the sea after the adults snap out of their trance.
Youngblood is freed by an accident of sorts when a panicky Danny hastily moves his family out of harm’s way with the Fenton submarine {that turns into a jet boat, by the way). Freed, Youngblood spends the first half or so tormenting the hell out of Danny. Unable to be seen by adults or kids with adult minds, Youngblood uses this trick to mind-rape Danny, causing Jazz to schedule a getaway from all things ghostly via a family vacation. Danny, sure as sugar that he ain’t crazy managed to get Jazz to embrace her younger mentality, resulting in her first eyewitness account of Youngblood. Together, the siblings defeat him, leaving the poor young pirate—cowboy Fenton Thermos’ed.
He makes a brief appearance as one of three recurring ghosts involuntarily aiding Danny in stopping a government missile to blow up the Ghost Zone...........with a rock. Prior to that, he was trying to slingshot himself to...somewhere, playing and dressed as an astronaut. His voice goes through a bit of puberty, at least I think so. Mommy, the actor’s all growed up! ("Livin’ Large")
He makes a cameo as one of the many ghosts who saved the world from an Ecto-Asteroid. ("Phantom Planet").
PERSONALITY: Like any ten-year-old boy (or just anyone below puberty), Youngblood is youthful, energetic, and incredibly bratty. Unable to comprehend an adult world, Youngblood lacks any decent common sense and spends the better portion of his ghostly existence tormenting the older figures with his ever enticing boyish charm and numerous pranks. Despite being a regular child, Youngblood commands an entire army of pirates, an impressive feat for a child his age and stature. He does a pretty damn good job at it, too and remains focused on his goals this side of a bottle of Ritalin.
Aside from a hyperactive demeanor, Youngblood is increasingly mischievous. With it comes a clever side and manipulation to use his immaturity for his own ends. It’s terribly unwise to get on the kid’s bad side; he’s pretty smart—like child actors, ya know, before their downfall.
OPINION: It’s hard to judge whether I should like him or not. On one hand, he’s such a clever, devious little jackass. He gives Danny an edge in his own fleeting immaturity; causing him to be a grown figure in front of Youngblood’s eyes and a chance for him to be the "adult". Youngblood almost seems like an anti-thesis to him. On the other hand, Youngblood is an irritating, childish, brat. The type who causes trouble and listens to no older [authority] figures. Alongside the smartass kids, annoying children are some of my greatest annoyances. In the series, he’s personality may shine, but if I ever met him in real life, I would be grotesquely frustrated with him; more then likely, to his amusement.
