"Friend, we will meet again..."

Wulf: (Pun, pun, pun, pun...)
VOICE ACTOR: Dee Bradley Baker
AGE: Unknown
EYES: Green
HAIR: Black and furry
STATUS: Prisoner escapee Giant Anthro
LIKES: Freedom, Danny (and his friends), a nice flea bath here and there
DISLIKES: Walker, Bullet, and the rest of his cronies
PERSONALITY: Loyal, desperate, friendly, noble
POWER: Can create a portal to the Ghost Zone and back with his massively long claws and also separate ghosts from possessed mortals, standard ghost powers
STRENGTH: Could be a great escape artist with his portal maker. And those claws look to do some damage, and those teeth!
WEAKNESS: He’s got an ENTIRE armed force after him, power or not, he’s a sitting duck. He also speaks a language that is obscure, thus hard to understand
FIRST APPEARANCE: "Public Enemies"
GOAL: To get his freedom

HISTORY: Unleashed (ahaha, dog pun) by Walker, Wulf's task was clear: hunt down Danny Phantom and let him do the rest. In exchange, he'd be freeeee, free as a bird as well as have that collar that emits painful electricity removed from his neck. Wulf easily agrees and using his portal creating claws, leaps onto Earth and sniffs out Danny.

Oh, he finds 'em, but not before Bullet harasses him. Danny, convinced any ghosts against Walker and his cronies "can't all be that bad" saves Wulf through the one-time-only Ghost Stinger. Wulf rewards him with a slobbery Ecto lick. Danny in return hides him inside Tucker's home where the Techno-Geek tries to communicate with him on his current dilemma. Unbeknown to the furry, Walker nearly does Wulf in, having plotted to kill him after he found Danny. Using a button, Walker activates Wulf's collar that continuously transmit the shock. Using his PDA, Tucker conveniently saves him. The big guy remains grateful, then bolts.

He makes his surprise return by freeing Mayor Montez from Walker, but not before the high sheriff already accomplished his plans to create animosity between Danny Phantom and Amity Park. Using his portal claws, Wulf sends Walker back to the Ghost Zone, sacrificing his freedom (I assume) in the process, but not before telling Danny they are "Amigos".

After a lengthy absence, Wulf returns under worse wear, this time hiding in the deep woods near a campsite where Danny's classmates and teachers have been mysteriously disappearing one by one. He and Sam (the only ones remaining--typical) find out the kidnappers are Walker and his goons. Originally on pursuit of Wulf (again), they snatch all the children to lure Danny and essentially catch two birds with one stone. By night, one of the cop arrives and blackmails Danny to give up and return Walker in exchange for the kids/faculties (Tucker's hat is used to push the envelope, that bastard).

Conflicted, the heroes build a plan. Danny brings Wulf, hiding inside a duffel bag (don't ask), only to find out it's Sam, her bottom half dressed in a furry costume Lancer wore prior to assure the teenagers of any upcoming dangers (Note to teacher: Teens aren't seven-year-olds). Much battling ensures between the three and the police ghosts, thus saving the others. Wulf thanks the two again, declares them friends...again, then runs of to freedom...again. ("Claw of the Wild")

He makes a small comeback as one of the many ghosts who helps Danny against a giant asreroid ("Phantom Planet").

PERSONALITY: Seemingly desperate to be free, Wulf spent a good deal of his screen time, if not all his screen time, constantly on the run. Because he longs for the taste of freedom, he's willing to do anything to gain it. Fortunately, his intimidating form lies the spirit of a noble beast. Wulf is just as loyal as he is determined and when someone pays him a kind deed, he will repay it back and even sacrifice his intended goal to help out his friends.

He truly is man's best friend.

OPINION: I already liked his design the minute I saw him. 'Course, wolves--dogs--are my favorite animals, so that's an easy task. He has a deep and admirable personality. But it's more of his concept that I enjoyed; he speaks a language not many know of and it is through body language and facial expression that we see his story. Thankfully, they managed to succeed and he remains one of the most intriguing, but underused characters in the series.

I would have enjoyed him a lot more if I just knew a little bit more about him. He's interaction with Danny and friends are heartwarming, but I ask: what did he do that landed him in jail in the first place? And is he truly free? All Danny does is tell Wulf that he is and the guy runs off happily. How does that justify freedom? Danny never told Walker to leave Wulf alone nor did anyone give any reason on why Walker won't continue his hunt for the canine. It's left so vague that his unfortunate story doesn't draw to a conclusion the way it should have been. For a character like Wulf, he doesn't deserve that.
