OTHER CHARACTERS/GHOSTS

**Secondary or Tertiary characters that at least had a significant part in the plot or did more then just stand around picking their noses for five minutes.

Ectopusses
Voice Actor: None
First Appearance: "Mystery Meat"

These octopus ghosts appeared many times throughout the run of the series as nothing more then fleeting cameos, but they get special mention strictly for being the very first ghosts Danny has fought.

Their first appearance had the duo on a mission by Vlad to test Jack's strength, unaware it was his son who defeated them.

Vulture Ghosts
Voice Actor: S. Scott Bullock (Ghosts #1 and #3), Rob Paulsen (Ghost #2)
First Appearance: "Bitter Reunions"

The 2,008 year old trio of vultures is one of Vlad’s many loyal ghost servants. They are all senile, cranky, and geriatric—often complaining despite their reliability. They prefer to be called "Ecto-Americans", dag nabit!

This is stereotype Asian reporter #1, coming up next Harriet Chin
Voice Actor: June Angela
First Appearance: "Bitter Reunions"

Coming from the same college as Jack, Maddie, and Vlad, Harriet used to work for the school’s newspaper. By the time she came to Vlad’s 20th college reunion, she had become a topnotch ace reporter for the Milwaukee Journal. Quickly she shows signs of her distaste in Jack (wouldn't you if your name was pun for "hairy chin"), but quickly forgives the moment she sees ghosts with her own eyes. Delivering the story to her local paper, Harriet is promptly fired.

She’s briefly seen reporting in another episode, but by that point, ghosts have become common awareness, so hey, it all pans out.

Dairy King
Voice Actor: S. Scott Bullock
First Appearance: "Bitter Reunions"

The former owner of Vlad’s manor, the Dairy King was once a mortal man who ruled over dairy products or something. The series never bothered to explain what the hell the crowning is suppose to celebrate outside of potentially representing Wisconsin's diary product. If "Masters of All Time" is any indication, the job is a fairly important enough title to garner local papers.

As a ghost, Dairy King wanders the halls of the castle, preferring to be left alone. That didn’t stop him from freeing Danny when he was trapped. But that’s all he planned to do; kings don’t act, they get others to act for them. Essentially, he was the episode’s dues ex machina.

Bertrand
Voice Actor: Jim Ward
First Appearance: "My Brother's Keeper"

Spectra's ever faithful partner is Bertrand. Normally a green blob of a ghost, Bertrand spends most of his time in his human disguise. He is a shape shifter, though unlike the more expert Amorpho, his forms are as green as his normal form—his human form being the only exception.

He is just as cheerful and lively as Spectra, but can retain a sharp tongue and rude demeanor. Also, I’m firmly under the beliefs that he’s gayer then Liberace on a good day. Just look at some of his mannerisms. Seriously.

"Cujo" the Ghost Dog
Voice Actor: S. Scott Bullock
First Appearance: "Shades of Gray"

The nicknamed "Cujo" (guys, it’s not its real name), the tiny ghost dog only looks cute and sweet, but when prompted, it suddenly gains a couple stories high and is out for blood, turning violent and aggressive—kinda like a puppy version of the Lunch Lady Ghost. It remains relatively loyal and friendly towards Danny.

In its only prominent appearance, "Cujo" constantly berates the Axiom Lab in search of its beloved squeaky toy. When Danny finds it, the puppy finally disappears with satisfaction.

Through hints, the sad tale of "Cujo" indicates it was once a puppy who worked or at least were to be trained as an Axiom guard dog before it was gotten "rid of" when they got state-of-the-art technology to do it instead. I don’t think it’s too hard to figure out what happened to the poor pup. *sniff*

Naturally as a dog lover, I think "Cujo" is super adorable.

Klemper
Voice Actor: S. Scott Bullock
First Appearance: "Fanning the Flames"

Klemper pops out of nowhere as an opponent during the beginning minutes of "Fanning the Flames". Despite Danny's initial struggle with the pajama-clad ghost, Klemper exhibits Casper's goal and just wants a friend. His creepy and stalker-ish demeanor to get one hasn't bode well for him, causing him to remain alone and desperate.

When he's feeling antagonized, Klemper retaliates with his ice-based attack. Unfortunately the series never took advantage of it when Danny developed ice powers, instead settling on useless Yeti ghosts. A prime missed opportunity, even if Klemper isn't all right in the head.

also stereotypical Asian teacher Principal Ishiyama
Voice Actor: June Angela
First Appearance: "Fanning the Flames"

Casper High’s principal. There really isn’t a whole lot to add about her personality; she just governs the school. She made a joke one time.

...

*yawn*

Shadow
Voice Actor: None
First Appearance: "13"

Johnny 13's shadow, Shadow is a wispy, silent ghost who brings bad luck and misfortune to whoever or whatever it's in contact with. Or at the very least he destroys stuff.

Bullet
Voice Actor: Daran Norris
First Appearance: "Public Enemies"

A ghost who works for Walker, Bullet is keen on capturing any loose prisoners. Bit of a loose cannon, Bullet doesn’t give a flying tomato’s ass if he has to listen to Walker’s order and would rather do things his own way.

Daran Norris. Really? Really? Cosmo is Bullet? Really????? Well slap my knee and paint me red, you fooled me!

AHHhhhhh, his face Mayor Montez
Voice Actor: Freddy Rodriguez
First Appearance: "Public Enemies"

Casper High’s mayor, Montez cares more about elections and future voters then any general concern for his people. Even if Vlad hadn’t possessed all the voters, I’d bet they’d still vote for him instead of this asshole.

His face is also mind-bendingly distorted beyond all beliefs. I think he’s missing a chromosome or something.

The Loser Hunters
Voice Actor: Fuck if I know, I'll get back to you
First Appearance: "the Million Dollar Ghost"

This group of losers was hired anonymously by Vlad to hunt Danny down as a means to keep the ghost boy busy while he took down his father’s portal. They all suck.

Scardey Cat and the Groovy Gangs are an obvious Scooby Doo reference and they spare no expenses with the retro look.

The Extreme Ghost busters are a pair of young’uns who are TOTALLY EXTREME!!!! I bet their favorite comic is anything by Rob Liefeld.

The Guys in White will have their own page, be patient.

Lydia and the Ghost Freaks
Voice Actor: Rob Paulsen (Goliath, Green Kid), Grey Delisle (Elastica), Tara Strong (Lydia)
First Appearance: "Control Freaks"
The big guy (Goliath), the midget (Green Kid), and Elastica (the stretchy chick) doesn’t have any basic personality since they’re possessed for most of the episode's run. They’re relieved when they’re freed from Freakshow's spell and helps Danny capture him.

Probably the sluttiest DP got away with Lydia however works for Freakshow under her own devices (and Freaks seems to have a sense of friendly connection with her—wanna bet they did it?). Silent (except for that one scream), Lydia handles all her battling with her many tattoos, all able to leave her body and do various tasks for her.

__________________________________________________

Skeleton Parrot
Voice Actor: S. Scott Bullock
First Appearance: "Pirate Radio"

The stoic skeleton pirate bird graces Youngblood's shoulder and serves as his silent yin to his raging yang. Though he gets edgy when things get dire, he often provides advice and proper pirate lingo to his young leader.

He becomes a skeleton horse in his next appearance, but his role remains the same regardless.

The Observants
Voice Actor: Dee Bradley Baker (Observant #1), Phil Morris (Observant #2)
First Appearance: "The Ultimate Enemy"

The Observants are a wide range of one-eyeballed ghosts who passes judgment to rogue ghosts who have done harm to Earth. While Walker provides the law for ghouls, the Observants seem to primary keep an eye on anything (or any ghosts) from affecting the other world.

Two of them ordered Clockwork to handle Danny’s death in order to prevent Dark Danny's birth while an entire society tried to condemn Vortex in a latter episode. Both of them failed in their goals and had to let Danny and a time master pull off their own shit to save the world. Way to go, guys.

That’s what happens when all you do is watch, but never act.

Gregor Elliot
Voice Actor: Dee Bradley Baker
First Appearance: "Double Cross My Heart"

I am, how you say, sexy foreigner, no?

I am, how you say, sexy foreigner, no? Tormented with the idea that she may never win Danny’s heart, a disgruntled Sam quickly turns her attention to Hungarian foreign exchange student, Gregor. A handsome Goth, he quickly takes to Sam and her interests and the two date without a second thought, much to Danny’s annoyance. Under the belief that he’s a Guys in White as a means to justify his jealously, Danny spied on the two lovers.

He was wrong when the Guys in White targeted Gregor, thinking he was Danny Phantom. Around that point, his true colors shone when he reveals that he is really Elliot from Michigan; a con-artist who merely wanted to get into Sam’s pants, but couldn’t keep up his charade due to Tucker's constant annoyance. He flees after he nearly gets shish-kabobbed by the GiW and is never seen again.

Personally, I am disappointed he wasn’t a real Hungarian dreamboat. The idea of Sam dating someone for a couple of episodes or so would have at least spiced up the generic Danny/Sam relationship (for that matter, the same applies to Danny dating Valerie for a few episodes). The fact that he admitted he liked Sam meant something, even if he was quick to move towards other girls. I wished the writers would have risked the romance arc further.

What I also find interesting is his similar color scheme to Danny Phantom which I always took for grant that Sam liked in him physically because it remains her of Danny Phantom. As I stated on my review, is Sam merely attracted to Danny because he is a unique half ghost? Would she have crushed on him if he just another Average Joe or just stuck with friendship?

Hudson
Voice Actor: I don't know. Get back to me
First Appearance: "Livin' Large"

But this guy isn't so sexy When the Fentons were temporarily rich, Hudson was their sole butler. Typically British, he served the Fentons without complaint, even if some of Danny’s milkshakes were dubious. He provides guidance and advice to the young teen when he nearly abandons his friends due to his own selfishness. (*grumblebadwritinggrumble*)

__________________________________________________

Pandora
Voice Actor:April Stewart
First Appearance: "Boxed Up Fury"

Yes, I know her hair is blocked out, but it's just pink fire The owner of Pandora's Box, the mythical she-warrior resides in her Greek-laden home, filled with Greek monsters, Greek mazes, and Greek magic. Also, Greek. Pandora is a hot tempered, domineering woman—angry if someone lays a hand on her box. Despite the lack of better security on her beloved box and one GIANT face palming moment when the episode reveals the damn thing has a pointless "spew" switch, Pandora is really a kind mistress who tries to lessen the world’s evil by capturing the vilest in her box. Because frogs and snakes certainly never existed until Box Ghost got his hands on it.

Like the rest of this episode, this take on Pandora is a walking disaster. Fabricating their own version of Pandora or not, since when does she wear Athena-ish armor? It's like the Twilight equivalent of twisting the Greek myth; making up their own stuff of well-known legends, then royally fucking it up in ways no one likes.

Oh, for those wondering, the reason she doesn’t have her own page like the rest of the ghost-of-the-week is because of her severe underplayed appearance. She doesn’t contribute till the last minute and might as well be a dues ex machina.

Masters' Blasters
Voice Actor: Vid (Colleen O'Shaughnessey), Thrash (Dee Bradley Baker), and Download (Rob Paulsen)
First Appearance: "Phantom Planet"

Hired and arranged by Vlad, the Masters’ Blasters are a trio of TOTALLY RADICAL teenagers who outshines Danny Phantom’s job as ghost hunters. They’re competent, but they’re loyal enough to Vlad to start getting cheeky and demanding money from citizens for their services. Hey, the man is an entrepreneur for a reason.

Once Danny Phantom is back in the picture, god only knows what happened to them. Also, no one cares.
