The first power shown on screen is the elusive Ghost Sense, an ability only Danny and his darker counterpart possess. With it, they can sense any approaching ghosts.
Usually a blue wisp from the mouth (or in Phantom's case, a red wisp from the nostrils), the Ghost Sense only arrives whenever a ghost is nearby. It's usually not present when Danny is immediately face-to-face or fully aware there is a ghoul besides him; the Ghost Sense acts much like an alarm in this respect. Because of its cool blue wisp, the Ghost Sense is the same or similar equivalent to a normal breath of cool air. Spectra used that to her advantage by cranking up the AC in Casper High to avoid suspicious. This is never played on again as the only winter-related episode had Danny able to use his Ghost Sense without difficulties.
The Ghost Sense later served as a precursor to his ice powers.

Two white rings from the middle of his body extends outwards, covering his body head to toe with Phantom power goodness. Naturally, the same effect can be used in reverse to turn him back to human. Whenever he is unconscious, Danny usually reverts to human, though there have been exceptions. Due to its simple presence, the animators and camera tends to dramatically play this up by focusing on the transformation from different angles or making Danny bust out some fancy move.
Both Danny and Danielle has white rings while Vlad, being true to his villainous form, possess black ones.

Self-explantatory. Danny's flight enables him to bypass many obstacles on land. It has become one of his most used abilities.
His flight speed was clocked in at 116 mph. If Tucker's brief time with ghost powers are any indication, it may be possible for Danny to go even faster.

One of Danny's first powers, he has the ability to pass through solid objects with ease.
The beginning had him struggling to master this ability, unable to control it, leading to oftentimes, humiliating disasters. He has slowly mastered it in time and has used it frequently.
For the benefit of the audience, whenever he phases, Danny is usually shown as a transparent blue-ish figure, though he can phase through without having to turn invisible. He is able to phase other living beings as long as he's in contact with them. He has demonstrated only once the ability to phase from afar; he sends a stream of ectoplasm towards Tucker, causing him to phase below grounds. It is an ability his human self can do as well.
This is the only ghostly abilities humans can do if they're in the Ghost Zone. In return, ghosts themselves cannot phase in their own hometown.

Duh. It makes Danny invisible to the naked eye.
Like the intangibility, Danny turns into a transparent blue-ish figure in order to render himself unknown in public. Like the above power, he can make other living beings invisible as long as he's in contact with them. He can use this as a human.

One of the most versatile of ghost powers and potentially, one of the most difficult. Like a ringless Green Lantern, ghosts can manipulate their bodies and Ectoplasm into whatever shapes they desire. It seems to require a great deal of their powers as well as a vast imagination.
For Vlad, he has mastered this to a tee, able to twist his Ecto into ropes, a giant batter, and cages (Pic 1) with ease. Danny's is more formless due to his inexperience, but nonetheless useful for avoiding attacks. He's shown to stretch his body, create holes, and split his upper half from his lower (Pic 2).

A key benefit of having ghost powers is that they enhance physical abilities normal humans cannot possess. The most noticeable is super strength. With it, Danny can lift things far greater then his weight. This includes, but are not limited to: dragons, humans with girth far greater then his own, giant mech suits, a school bus, and hordes of ghosts.
Other enhancement includes greater physical prowess for the human body. Danny is able to withstand blows, punches, explosions, or whatever dangerous commodity that a normal human would be severely injured or dead from. Though the series has also shown several of the human stars surviving many traumatic physical abuse with nothing but scrapes, but you get what I mean. Hey, what do you expect from an action/comedy cartoon?

Danny accidentally discovered his when he was about to attack or do something to Dash after he was locker-stuffed. He unintentionally phased inside instead and quickly took advantage of his newfound abilities to embarrass him. And it won't be the last!
When overshadowed, the possessed beings usually retain the same eye colors and voice of the overshadower. Frustratingly, barely no one comments on this. Danielle was the first to show that the second can be fixed; when she possessed the Fentons and Lancer, their voices stayed the same instead of her's. The next episode, Danny managed to do the same with a Vlad duplicate.
Overshadowing can be resisted, though it may depend on who and what circumstances. Jack didn't struggle when Danny took over his body, but he did when Vlad overshadowed him. Two ghosts can phase into one body and another ghost can phase in to kick the overshadowing ghost out of the possessed body.
Ghosts can also possess other ghosts, though the series has shown differing signs. When Sidney possessed Danny, his ghost half was pushed to the mirror, into his world. It's unknown if the mirror or Sidney forces a replacement body to take over his entrapment. In an alternate future, Danny's ghost half possessed Vlad's ghost side, merging the two into one separate being. Danny briefly and accidentally flew through the Fenton Ghostcatcher, separating the two halves. This was solved when Phantom phased inside Fenton which contradicts the phasing rule and what he does again in "Identity Crisis". At this point, I'm ruling that the results are your basic "whatever-the-hell-the-plot-calls-for" moment. Danny has also shown the ability to overshadow animals. He's only done a mouse so the limits of which animal he can possess is never explored.

The first instance of telekinesis was from Box Ghost who frequently uses it to command boxes, the contents inside, and bubble wraps,.
Danny's first use may have been during the christmas special, but because Ghost Writer was the one hemming the story, all the presents followed by Danny's Ecto trail may be his doing to further push his message.
If that doesn't count as the first, then "Boxed Up Fury" does when Danny used his ecto to move a rake. Baring the above paragraph in mind, this is the only time he does this.

Faced with Desiree for the first time, Danny sent her flying with his first Ghost Ray. Since then, it has become Danny's most used ghost power. It is an offensive ability that has both short and long ranges.
Usually, the Ghost Ray is a stream of Ecto that pours out of one's hand (Bottom Pic 1), but it can be shaped into an "Ecto-ball" (Main Pic) and thrown. Their size can range as same as tennis balls or as large as beach balls. Vlad (and later Danny) can also render them as disk-shaped weapons (Bottom Pic 2). Danny at one point even mixed Ice and Ecto together. Later in the series, Danny's Ghost Ray has increased in size, causing more damage with long, but wider range. It has shown up a few more times since.

Danny can also make a milder form of his Ghost Ray to use as a substitute flashlight (Bottom Pic 2).

A running arc in the series is Danny's struggle to master the ability. Each practice he's done has ended in disaster, one of which resulted in a horribly nightmare fuel-ridden mash of bodies and mutation. He successfully, but briefly, split in two later on, then finally reached four. He easily tired out from it, showing he still has a long way to go. By that point, Vlad had perfected duplicating dozens and I mean, dozens of his own self. They're mostly black (Pic 2), but that's animation for ya.

There are two varieties of the shield: a huge spherical one (Pic 1) that circles and surrounds the user, and a smaller rectangular one (Pic 2) that only covers the front. The first may be wider, but its easier to destroy while the smaller, more solid one is able to deflect oncoming attacks.

It's unknown how far Vlad can teleport, potentially enough to make a quick getaway, but not enough to cross states and countries. Danny potentially used it once when he was showing off his ghostly abilities to Freakshow, but he could have just as easily turned invisible and flew to a different location.

An ability that lets him walk on walls. It's a power Danny rarely uses since there isn't a whole lot of opportunity.

Like Vlad's power absorption, Danny has only used this ability once in his entire life. Taking Bullet's Ecto streams, he converts them into his own "Ecto-Stinger" that, well, stings his victims. Kinda like a jellyfish, it seems.

A possible electric attack that Vlad used on Danny. Possibly.

Dark Danny first used this power in an alternate future to bring down the barrier housing the protected Amity Park. Danny later gets it and as an element of surprise, used it on his evil self.
The most powerful of Danny's attacks, the Ghostly Wail is a moaning scream that sends a huge sonic wave that can take down multiple enemies all at once. It can be useful for large creatures, but Danny has yet to master it at that point to prove it effective.
But as grand as the power may be, it takes the energy out of Danny and renders him tired and human upon usage. He has it mastered by the series finale. Phantom and Vlad remains the only two who managed to not only sit through the goddamn thing, but still had enough energy to fuckin' fight back (or would have if not for distractions).
As of the series' end, this is the only power unique to Danny.

Vlad gained bigger and better powers in "Eye For An Eye". Creating an ecto tornado is one of them.
The last power developed and the extended results of the Ghost Sense, Danny's ice powers were first hinted by Frostbite before Danny developed it in a latter episode. Unable to control its freezing contents, a cold Danny barely avoided escape from Undergrowth and a possessed Sam. There in the Ghost Zone does he learn about his given ice abilities.
He quickly mastered it and positivity abused the damn thing throughout Season Three (much to my annoyance). His ice element works like the Ghost Ray; it shoots out a stream of ice, both from his hands and eyes. Ice sculptures and weapons such as swords and spikes can be created for combat. Whenever Danny uses this power, his eyes and body usually turn blue (Top pic).
So how come we didn't get firebendin' Vlad?
